To mark the release of Florent Schmitt's La Tragédie de Salomé on B Records , recorded at the Athénée Théâtre-Louis Jouvet in 2021, Les Apaches are reviving this masterpiece in its rarely recorded original version. While the myth of Salomé has inspired many composers (Richard Strauss, Jules Massenet), Florent Schmitt has not created an opera like his contemporaries, but rather a choreographic spectacle centered on the figure of the dancer Loïe Fuller. "Both a kind of symphonic poem that is danced and a symphony that is seen," this silent drama reflects all facets of Salomé's personality. The recording will be introduced by a Prologue to Salomé and a delicate Loïe composed by Fabien Touchard.
