Les Apaches break free from the barriers of classical concerts and take over both concert halls and public spaces with their Street Art program!
Drawing inspiration from this art form - controversial, free, and multifaceted - the Apaches playfully blend genres, bringing together musicians, composers, and performance artists within their collective. More than just a concert, they lead us on a sonic and physical journey where contemporary music of the 20th and 21st centuries becomes a field for experimentation with movement, rhythm, and timbre.
The Apaches bring together the urban visions of three contemporary French composers and engage in a dialogue with the pioneer of minimalist music, Steve Reich, who has influenced pop, rock, and contemporary music for generations. Each, in their own way, takes the pulse of the city and explores with great freedom this urban art form, which is the best reflection of our time and the most accessible expression of all.
L'HISTOIRE DU SOLDAT

Ragtime, paso doble, Bach-like chorales, klezmer music… This diverse range of influences serves a Faustian-inspired plot: a soldier sells his soul to the devil in exchange for a book capable of predicting the future. A universal tale, inspired by the Russian author Afanasyev, which ends in hell for the soldier.
Julien Masmondet and Les Apaches d'aujourd'hui have decided to pay homage to their predecessors by reviving this play alongside Éric Génovèse of the Comédie-Française, in a concert version for a single narrator who embodies the narrator, the soldier and the devil, accompanied by seven soloists.
To introduce The Soldier's Tale, an original creation for percussion and electronics commissioned from Othman Louati, the listener is immediately immersed in the world of rhythm which, in the form of a march, becomes like a second heartbeat punctuating all the scenes and accompanying us step by step until the last measure of the work.

From an intimate and hypnotic Ravel to a collective trance
Les Apaches affirm their desire to surprise and amaze the public through musical and interdisciplinary creation in all its forms. Conceived for the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel's birth, the Rave-L Party will progressively transform the concert hall into a vast industrial complex, then into an electro club.
From the rediscovery of a 1929 jazz bolero to the creation of an electro bolero, via a remixed suite of dances from L'Enfant et les Sortilèges, today's Les Apaches dare to explore everything.
Musicians, conductor, DJ, composers, VJ and dancer will reveal to the public the spirit of the most audacious composer of the 20th century, whose watchword is freedom!
