CURTAIN !
From chaos to silence

"It's not a question of whether Satie is worthwhile. He is indispensable." John Cage
What lies behind the curtain? Daydreaming, play, obsession, pain… intimacy.
More than a century after the creation of Parade at the Théâtre du Châtelet, which brought together the greatest talents of the artistic avant-garde of the early 20th century, the Apaches revisit this seminal work in the same creative and playful spirit.
With humor, poetry, and a touch of irreverence, Rideau! brings the free and visionary worlds of Erik Satie and John Cage into dialogue. Like them, the musicians and composers of Les Apaches repurpose everything: everyday objects, words and colors, the deepest feelings… Everything becomes a musical playground.
From this sonic and visual chaos, a form of minimalism gradually emerges, another way of listening, seeing, and perhaps being in the world. Bodies spread out, artworks are stripped back, colors fade. Everyone is invited to listen differently, perhaps even to listen to themselves.
In a world saturated with sounds, images and demands, Rideau! is a story of metamorphosis, of returning to the essential.
What lies behind the curtain? A mystery, unique to each individual, that the music is about to reveal…
