(IM)PULSE #1 (DE)PHASE
Experience of musical, physical and collective trance
January 15, 2027
21:00
La Scène de Recherche - Théâtre Paris-Saclay
(DE)PHASE explores the phasing processes inherent in minimalist music born from the American urban landscape of the 1960s: repeated motifs, rhythmic cells, and melodic lines that intertwine, slide, and misalign. This gradual change generates a physical effect, a loss of bearings, a state of sonic and sensory vertigo.
Music becomes mass, tension, movement. The body – particularly that of the dancer – reacts to this temporal instability. From this disorientation arises a sensation: trance.
(DE)PHASE is a journey. A slow ascent towards an altered state of listening, between lucidity and surrender. Designed for flexible and immersive spaces, the piece transforms the space into a shifting territory, where sounds, gestures, and silences organize themselves like a living flow.
